Africa Union of Architects is a nongovernmental organization, created in 1981 to unite architects regardless of nationality, race, religion or doctrine, with membership of 38 countries. Essential aims of AUA, while respecting our Heritage is to develop Cultural and Architectural specificities to fulfill our role to humanity and the environment.

SACAP is the architectural regulatory authority which provides for the following: Registration; Accreditation of architectural institutions; Public protection against unprofessional conduct by registered persons; Professional Code of Conduct; Disciplinary Procedures; Identification of Work (IDoW); Annual recommended Professional Tariff of Fees.

The South African Planning Institute (SAPI) is a voluntary organization which seeks to promote planning in society and to advance planning as a profession.  It is made up of planners from all regions of South Africa, and from all sectors, including the Public Sector, NGO’s, CBO’s, Private Consultants and Academics.

 

The Affordable Housing Institute (AHI) a global non-profit in affordable housing finance research/education that helps pro-poor innovators create healthy housing ecosystems worldwide, especially in the Global south. The International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) is a global association of experienced professional planners. ISOCARP encourages the exchange of professional knowledge between planners, promotes the planning profession, stimulates and improves planning research and education and enhances public awareness and understanding of major planning issues.
